ABSTRACT
Introduction: educational software is a resource for learning available today in higher medical education in Cuba.Objective: to explain the features and benefits of educational software developed to support the teaching-learning process in the development of clinical history in dental prosthesis.
Methods: a developmental research was conducted in the area of learning resources at Artemio Rodriguez Mastrapa Teaching Dental Clinic, between December 2012 and February 2013. The basic textbook of rehabilitation was revised, as well as CD materials of the subject and supplementary literature. Training materials were prepared for the software. Crheasoft developed by the Department of Educational Software of Medical University of Holguin was used to design the software.
Results: an educational software was created to facilitate the teaching-learning process in the conduct of clinical history in dental prostheses, as its main parts: interrogation and clinical examination, and was structured in modules: topics, images, exercises, glossary, games, accessories and Support, it also has a gallery.
Conclusions: the developed software is a useful tool for both teaching and students. independent study.
