ABSTRACT
There are many causes of delayed awakening from anesthesia; and among them, intracranial hemorrhages, which occur infrequently. These are life-threatening conditions during the perioperative period and involve a wide range of causes, among them, the rupture of an arteriovenous malformation or rupture of an aneurysm. Since it is a rare entity, many times the diagnosis is made by exclusion; it relies upon clinical judgment and imaging, and treatment may be expectant or surgical, according to the case.REFERENCES
