ABSTRACT

Dear Readers,

We begin the 35th volume (2014) of the Revista Mexicana de Ingeniería Biomédica with the interesting set of scientific and technical contributions included in this issue. Besides original articles, reviews and technical notes, we have considered important the inclusion of an Invited Editorials section, with the purpose of presenting the opinion of science and technology experts, on Biomedical Engineering topics, relevant to our readers. To do so, Dr. Enrique Berjano, from Universitat Politècnica de València in Spain, shares with us his reflections on “The transfer of research results from the academic environment on Biomedical Engineering”, that had already been presented in a plenary speak during the National Conference on Biomedical Engineering in 2013.
