ABSTRACT
In its collection the Historical Archive of the Faculty of Medicine preserves the "Book of Enrollment" of the Royal College of Surgery, which has the registration of students in the secular and modern institution founded in the second half of the eighteenth century in New Spain's capital. It contains the records of students from the school´s opening in 1770 until 1834, shortly after the medical reform that brought together in the same institution the teaching of medicine and surgery. In this article, a description and analysis of some of the elements contained in the prior mentioned book that is a primary source of great interest for the study of the Mexican History of Medicine and Surgery.REFERENCES
