Pneumoconiosis: silicosis a case report

ABSTRACT
Occupational lung diseases are well described as professional diseases, and are described in the Mexican Federal Labour
law (LFT). Mining, quarrying, tunneling, stonecutting, and glass manufacturing are mainly the industries responsible for most
of the cases. The present paper aims to point out the nessesity por specific protection, as prevention, since it is the best way
to deal with this diseases. On the other hand, to point out on a rather new material, corian, that is being used for manufacturing
kitchen furniture, due to its price and characteristics.
