ABSTRACT
The beach chair position in which it holds the shoulder surgery, is safe so that mainly affects the anesthetic technique can be used, since the submission of neurological complications in its use has studied how it behaves oxygenation brain with the advent of new monitors in our country as cerebral oxygen saturation measured by near infrared spectroscopy to calculate the area under the curve based on the threshold defined by the patient (baseline measurement); with this, if it occurs a decline of more than 25% of this value is required to initiate an intervention to preserve proper brain saturation. So we present a case to illustrate its use and interpretation.
