ABSTRACT
On February 22, 1868, the American Charity was established in Mexico City, for notary procedures as The American Benevolent Society. Active members of The American Benevolent Society in Mexico made economic collections and resources counted as work on February 2, 1886 and on December 12 the same year opened the American Hospital began. From 1920-1940 all cardiac patients where attended in the area called back then known as «General Medicine» Internal Medicine today. Angina pectoris and even myocardial infarction; were corrected with physical and mental, natural or induced with drugs and the crisis of angina pectoris with the intake of therapeutic doses of liquor with vasodilator or inhalation of nitrites rest; when the angina at rest was not due to physical exertion, the prognosis was unfavorable. All were catered insufficient cardiac similarly. On February 27, 1941 the American Hospital Benefit Board and the Cowdray Sanatorium Advisory Board with representation of both medical bodies, met and decided to join forces to establish a new nonprofit institution with recognition and supervision of a Private Board Assistance, therefore on July 4, 1941, under notarial charter, this institution was founded under the name of The American British Cowdray Hospital; IAP.REFERENCES
