The hemorrhoids affect a great number of patients, regardless their races, beliefs, ages, social status and other factors. These persons decide to look for medical assistance when they suffer from this affection, which causes physical and psychological discomforts. An observational, descriptive and transversal study was carried out at the Family Doctor 20, on Reina Street, from May 2005 to Mat 2007 in order to characterize the patients assisted with garlic solution at 20%. The population was made up by sick people who attended the doctor´s office and had been diagnosed with hemorrhoids. They were recommended garlic solution at 20%. Only the patients suffering from hemorrhoids I and II were assisted. The results were gathered in a form created by Specialties in Proctology and Natural Medicine. These patients presented the same symptoms, that´s why they receive the same treatment. Finally, it was recommended to increase the educative measures in the community to mitigate risks factors, prevent this disease and promote good habits oriented to consume 2 to 4 cloves of garlic daily. This treatment should be extended to other health servicies.
