Didactic strategy to increase the level of knowledge in regards to the bucodental health promotion

ABSTRACT
The insufficiencies presented in the teaching-learning process of the Promotion of Oral Health were treated through the dynamics of this process, which takes place at the Faculty of Medical Sciences "Celia Sanchez" of Manzanillo. The aim was to develop a didactic strategy to increase the level of knowledge on oral health promotion in Stomatology students. It was carried out an educational intervention study in a group of Fourth year. The implemented didactic strategy had three stages: planning, implementation and evaluation with two stages each. The implementation was done through a website. The population consisted of 65 Stomatology students of the Faculty of Medical Sciences "Celia Sanchez" of Manzanillo. The sample consisted of 20 students of the group 4.3, which was selected at random using the raffle procedure. In the five objectives it was evidenced a considerable percentage of Low students, significantly affecting the definition of concepts, 17 (85.0%) and principles with 14 students (70.0%). Once the strategy was implemented all of the students reached a High degree in concept, components and techniques and 19 (95.0%) in the objectives and principles. The participants considered that the use of the website is a viable option for overcoming the difficulties in the use of participatory affective techniques that have traditionally existed in the process of forming the dentists.REFERENCES
