ABSTRACT

Histiocytic necrotizing lymphadenitis or Kikuchi disease (Kikuchi-Fujimoto) is a rare self-limited of unknown etiology disease, the main features are localized painful lymphadenitis (usually cervical), fever and nonspecific symptoms, so may be confused easily with other diseases, delaying the diagnosis of malignant diseases and lead to inappropriate treatments, thus, we consider of great importance to the internist and any specialty physician, to know the disease, as well as its diagnosis and treatment.
