ABSTRACT
The protocol is a detailed guide for conducting a research study. Begins with finding the current knowledge of the subject to be studied, then must be considered the purpose of the study and hypothesize, type, time and place of study. The way it is carried out the study must be as accurate, complete it the selection criteria (inclusion, exclusion and removal), type of sampling (probabilistic or non-probabilistic), sample size, definition of variables (demographic, predictor and outcome). With this scheme of as when and how people will make the study should raise ethical issues and the feasibility of the material and human resources to conduct the study. There are two essential elements to initiate a study and conclude a protocol: approval of the Local Committee of Investigation and consistency between all parts of the protocol.REFERENCES
