ABSTRACT
We report the case of an unusual complication of the external fixators (Orthofix) in a diaphyseal humeral fracture, a man 38 years old with good bone quality present an open comminuted fracture II in the distal part. Ten weeks after operation without any trauma he presented breakage of the three proximal screws, the site was the external surface of the bone. The probable cause of fatigue was the incorrect selection of this type of fixator because it doesn’t permit the right placed of the screws near to the fracture to provided more stability and protection avoiding the failure of the implant.REFERENCES
