ABSTRACT
Preeclampsia is a highly prevalent entity. Its manifestations are
heterogeneous, highlighting the microcirculation dysfunction, which
manifests as microangiopathic hemolytic anemia which is characterized
by the presence in the peripheral blood smear by abnormal
red blood cells such as schistocytes, dacriocytes and fragmented
erythrocytes. The objective of this report is to describe the peripheral
blood smear in a case of preeclampsia.
