Case report of Garengeot hernia in an ambulatory surgery center

ABSTRACT
Case of a 70-year-old female, who was sent from a first level at CCA, at service of General Surgery diagnosed with right Femoral Hernia, thereby surgery was performed, finding a Garengeot Hernia located in the right femoral canal; the patient was handled with appendectomy Parker-
Kerr’s plus femoral Mosckowitz plasty; the patient developed properly and without complications. The presence of the appendix herniated in the femoral canal is called Herniated Garengeot. Its frequency is very low and the preoperative diagnosis is complex and usually done intra-operatively.
