Comment:
Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) may be
the most common chronic liver disease in the
world. The spectrum of NAFLD ranges from simple
steatosis to nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), cirrhosis
and hepatocellular carcinoma. NAFLD is
often associated with obesity, insulin resistance and
metabolic syndrome.
