ABSTRACT
Focal nodular hyperplasia (FNH) is a benign neoplasia common after liver hemangioma and represents 8% of all liver tumors. The male/female ratio is 1/8 and the tumors occur more in younger patients. The FNH is an unencapsulated focal liver lesion, firm, of normal hepatocytes with central or eccentric scar that is not true but represents a conglomeration of blood vessels. An MRI is isointense or hypointense relative to normal liver parenchyma on T1-weighted images and slightly hyperintense or isointense on T2-weighted images.
