Practical considerations regarding the management of perioperative coagulopathy

ABSTRACT
Uncontrolled bleeding, progress of coagulopathy and consequently massive transfusion of blood products, is a common complication in the perioperative setting; we present a case report of trauma associated coagulopathy in a patient under treatment with the new oral anticoagulants and some considerations of its management in a perioperative setting.
