ABSTRACT
The chemical exfoliation for cosmetic and also therapeutic purposes in some skin diseases has currently become the ideal procedure for the dermatologist. Among the best known ones are the glycolic acid, the resorcine and the trichloroacetic acid in different concentrations, just to mention some of them. The 3-5% retinoic acid is beginning to be accepted in the treatment of mild photodamaged skin and in superficial defects. The sequence of the application of chemical agents to exfoliate the skin allows us to control the deepness and the epidermic desquamation with a favorable clinical and histopathological evidence for the patient, besides being safe in use and practically without undesirable side effects.REFERENCES
