ABSTRACT
Wolfram syndrome od
DIMOAD is a rare
neurodegenerative and
multisystemic disease with:
Diabetes insipidus, diabetes
mellitus, optic atrophy and
deafness caused by a mutation
in the protein wolframin. Early
diagnosis and prevention of
complications are the two
branches of its treatment,
because even though an
important progression in the
treatment has been done,
with substances such as
4-phenylbutyric acid, there is
still no curative treatment.
