Cyclosporine in dermatology: own experience illustrated by selected case reports

ABSTRACT
Cyclosporin is a potent immunosuppressive agent introduced to control organ transplantation in 1978. The mechanism
of its action is mainly based on inhibition of T helper 1 cells. Nowadays it is widely used in different
branches of medicine, including dermatology. In the present paper the review of cyclosporin use in variety of
dermatological condition is given. Moreover own experience with cyclosporin illustrated by selected case reports
is presented.
