Learning requirements in the research function of the integral general medicine

ABSTRACT
Objectives: to explore the level of knowledge on the research function of 41 professors in the general integral medicine specialty and to identify their learning requirements.Methods: prospective, cross-sectional and descriptive study based on the administration of a survey after informed consent of participants.
Results: this study revealed that the professors did not know the different types of samples existing in the quantitative research, the phases of qualitative research, the inappropriate behaviors that may have legal and ethical consequences, the phases of the controlled clinical assay and the classification of the research designs.
Conclusion: it is necessary to systematically explore the learning requirements of the professors linked to the primary health care.
