ABSTRACT
It is widely accepted the current treatment for multi-fragment humeral head fractures by prosthesis substitution. However operation is not always possible as a result of the poor clinical condition of some elderly patients. Current study evaluates the functional results of treatment by prosthetic and conservative procedures in 60 patients depending on their surgical risk. It is concluded that functional results are somewhat worse with conservative treatment.
