Alteraciones en la espermatobioscopia en las parejas en estudio de infertilidad

ABSTRACT
Introduction: Fertility is a major public health problem, with nearly 60,000 couples seek each year by the desire of pregnancy. In Mexico it is reported to the male factor as the fourth leading cause of infertility, occupying 26% of cases. The treatment of this couples is multidisciplinary: medical, surgical, biological, sexological, psychological and social.
Objective: To determine the frequency of alterations in the parameters of the spermatobioscopies of male infertility study by the Department of Biology of Reproduction in the Hospital of Gynecology and Obstetrics IMIEM.
Material and methods: observational, descriptive, retrospective and cross-sectional study that reviewed the spermatobioscopies performed in the laboratory of IMIEM parameters of the fifth edition of the WHO described in 2010, taken from the clinical records file.
Results: Between March 2010 and March 2013 405 spermatobioscopies were performed, of which 74 had abnormalities in spermatobioscopics parameters. The mean age of patients was 32.2 years. The alterations found most frequently were necroospermia, oligoospermia and hypospermia; 54 (73%) patients had primary infertility and 20 (27%) secondary infertility.
Conclusions: The patient group present necroospermia as the most frequent alteration.
