ABSTRACT
Pseudoaneurysms vascular complications are difficult to diagnose, especially after a surgical procedure scheduled as common as a tonsillectomy, postoperative complications occur more in adults than in children. Also the diagnostic approach to pseudoaneurysms is very similar to the chronic epistaxis unwieldy. Patients the diagnosis is even kind of hematologic, or arteriovenous malformations present and only resolution is through surgical proccedure. In this publication, we report a case of a pseudoaneurysm of the left lingual artery, which, even when it portrayed a great diagnostic challenge, the singularity evolved to the full recovery of the patient. In parallel we present a brief literature review on the pseudoaneurysm, and the management of epistaxis which is similar to the algorithm that guides us to the diagnosis and treatment of this disease.REFERENCES
