ABSTRACT
Eumycetoma is a located subcutaneous infectious disease caused by fungi. We report an imported case of eumycetoma in a 39-year-old woman natural of Cape Verde. Microbiological analysis revealed the organism to be
Madurella mycetomatis. She presented a slow growing firm tumour on the dorsal aspect of her right foot for 30 years. Computerized axial tomography revealed osteomyelitis of her fourth metatarsal bone. She was successfully treated with surgical debridement, fluconazole and voriconazole.
