ABSTRACT
Enterovirus encephalitis is a rare disease in the neonatal period. Most cases are
asymptomatic. We report a patient, 5 days of life, entering in the intensive care
unit, to present hypoglycemia and seizures. Diagnosis is done early, by polymerase
chain reaction, dismissing metabolic diseases cause.
