ABSTRACT
Some metabolic diseases may present with musculoskeletal disorders, such as endocrine myopathy. Endocrine diseases should be considered in the differential diagnosis of patients with proximal muscle weakness without elevated muscle enzymes and associated with an uncommon electromyogram myopathic pattern. A case of a previously healthy patient presenting with proximal muscle weakness and fever is reported; an endocrine myopathy disease was suspected and a diagnosis of Graves’ disease was made, coupled with deficiency of vitamin D and urinary tract infection.
