ABSTRACT
Eight year old female, from Guanajuato, with history of natal prematurity, premature rupture of membranes and neonatal sepsis. A year before actual condition, presented pain and elevation of pancreatic enzymes. Suspecting pancreatitis, a panendoscopy was performed, reveling erosive gastritis treated medically with proton pump inhibitors. On February 2013, presented acute colic abdominal pain with epigastrium predominance and no irradiation or other signs or symptoms. On exploration no important data was revealed, only abdominal pain in epigastrium and mesogastrium, masses or peritoneal irritation was not proclaim. Abdominal ultrasound reported fusiform choledochal cyst (CC), confirmed by abdominal computed tomography and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography. Settling diagnostic of Todani type I CC; the surgical procedure performed was laparoscopic CC resection with Roux-en-y hepatic-jejunal anastomosis.
