Maternal morbimortality in intensive cares, Years 2010 2011. Hospital General Moron, Ciego De Avila

ABSTRACT
Introduction: Every day they die approximately thousand women for complications related with the pregnancy or the childbirth, for a total of 358.000 deaths around the world. Objective: Knowing the behavior of the maternal morbimortality in the intensive care unit of the General Provincial Educational Hospital Roberto Rodríguez Fernandez, of Moron Municipality, Ciego de Avila, from January 1st of the 2010 until December 31st of the 2011. Method: observational, descriptive, longitudinal, retrospective study using the epidemic method for. The universe was constituted by 58 patients. Results: During the year 2010, 28 serious mothersl were discharged of the intensive care unit, it happened a maternal death for uterine atony and intravascular disseminated clotting, that represented a rate of 4,8. In the year 2011, 30 patients were discharged, but any of them died. The months of greater incidence in the 2010 were September (6), April (4) and October (4), in the year 2011 prevailed the month of July, the greater number of patients was between the 35 years or more (27,6%) and between 25-29 years (25,9%), the causes of obstetric admission were more frequent (69.0%) that the not obstetric (31,0%). Conclusions: A prevalence of the obstetric causes existed, with preponderance of the hemorrhages and the hypertensive disorders and the not obstetric causes of greater incidence were the bronchopneumonia and the sharp crisis of bronchial asthma.REFERENCES
