ABSTRACT
Infantile hypertrophic pyloric
stenosis is a common cause of
nonbilious vomiting in children.
Historically, the diagnosis was
based on palpation of the pyloric
mass, which can sometimes be
difficult or not found at all at
the time of the examination.
Hence the importance of
imaging studies, particularly
ultrasound, to remove doubts,
and help establish the diagnosis
in order to avoid further
complications.
