ABSTRACT
The villous adenoma of the vermiform appendix is a rare pathological entity that has a particular clinical form differently from other villous adenomas from other parts of the digestive tract presentation. An octogenarian female patient is presented with abdominal pain in the right iliac fossa, which was from the start, interpreted as an acute appendicitis in the elderly due to lack of personal pathological antecedents or association with other more common entities to the age of the patient. The patient underwent surgery and the piece was sent to the Pathological Anatomy service to be studied, being found a rare and infrequent diagnosis.REFERENCES
