ABSTRACT
The eyes are the sight of the soul, so, the eyes and eye lids, which work as a frame, play an important role
for expressivity. As time passes by, the orbit structures change and that can be appreciated clinically as a
lower eye lid bulging and skin excess.
In advanced stages, scleral show and ectropion could be seen.
There are multiple techniques for blefaroplasty. Not totally comfortable with our results with conventional
techniques, we decided to tackle the fat pads through a percutaneous direct access.
Our statistics include 954 patients through 10 years and our results reflect a positive outcome with few complications
and the advantages of a minimally invasive technique with local anesthesia.
