ABSTRACT
We report a case of a iatrogenic hematoma of the nail secondary to the incorrect use of an oximeter in
a 54-year-old female patient. Even though applying an oximeter is a simple routine procedure it is
necessary to show physicians and paramedics to take care of this patients, to teach them the correct
technique to avoid this adverse effect.
