ABSTRACT
In order to identify factors that influencing self-financed specialist training at Villa Clara Medical Sciences University, this research was conducted at post-graduate area based on a qualitative approach. Theoretical methods were used for the analysis and synthesis of reviewing documents; scientific literature and empirical methods such as brainstorming, SWOT matrix and ranking for the identification and prioritization of the problems founded were used too. The main factors affecting academic self-funded training of specialists at Villa Clara Medical Sciences University were identified. They consisted on inadequacies in Information Technologies and Communications, dorms in poor conditions and access to updated bibliography in printed format.REFERENCES
