ABSTRACT
Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that hydrolyzes hyaluronic acid,
promoting the diffusion of injected fluids in the tissues, and
facilitating their absorption. In dermatology it is used to correct
defects or complications of injectable hyaluronic acid gels,
it increases the action of local anesthesia, prevents the risk of
necrosis in sclerotherapy and has fibrinolitic action. Low doses
are effective but must be used cautiously.
