ABSTRACT
9-year-old female patient with lineal scleroderma localized at
right superior extremity and with decrease of range of motion.
The patient presented unfavorable response to treatment with
mometasone 0.1%, futicasone 0.05%, coal tar, urea, and salicylic
acid. She was managed with segmental UVA-1 phototherapy,
340 nm, low mode, with ultrasonographic surveillance. On a
3-month period she had complete sclerosis involution, and recuperated
joint motion.
