ABSTRACT
Objective: To describe the results of the psychological assessment done to pregnant women of Mario Escalona Reguera Polyclinic located in Alamar during the period 2011-2012.Methods: The population studied was formed with all the pregnant women of the area that are assessed on the service of Psychology from the polyclinic. The results of the variable assessed are analyzed through the percent as measure of the analysis of data.
Results: The 78.4% of the total of pregnant are assessed during the studied period; it prevails in them the interval of 20 to 30 years as a chronological age, and with the assessment of psychological healthy women. Non-planning of pregnancy is a common factor without a distinction in maternity age.
Conclusions: Healthy pregnants prevailed, as well as women in ideal age to developed a pregnancy in both periods. There is an increment of the tendency to the non- planning pregnancy and there is higher the group of diagnosed pregnants as healthy with psychological risk. There is an evidence of non - general preparation for maternity.
