ABSTRACT
Stress is the nonspecific answer of the organism to any demand of the
outside, that is to say, to external conditions that disturb the
emotional and physical balance of the person and that in
conditions of prolonged exhibition can cause serious diseases. The
importance is mainly in diagnosing them on time with which it is
possible to be helped to avoid that diverse types of alterations are
developed in greater degree. This work consists mainly of the
development of an instrument that values some physiological and
psychological variables related to stress and necessary software
for its analysis. The breathing (thorax and abdominal), the chemical
composition of the sweat (GSR) and the tension of skin (EMG) are used
like primary physiological variables, in addition a scale MSP is
applied to the patient and the corporal attitude is observed to him.
The main element processor of the information in hardware is a
microcontroller of the family of the PIC and a set of noninvasive
sensors, whereas in software, the main element is the functions of
capture and analysis of data. The objective of the work, when counting
with more than a physiological and psychological variable is indeed to
consider with greater exactitude the degree of present stress in the
patient, besides to tell on a computational tool that it allows east
type of analysis.
