ABSTRACT
The right aberrant subclavian artery constituted a frequent form of vascular rings. This is a case of a 44 year old male patient and 48 Kg of body weight with personal history of failure to thrive. A posterior narrowing of the esophagus lumen was noted in the barium meal and the CT scan confirmed the presence of the disease. A partial sternotomy was made, the aberrant artery was dissected and sectioned nearby his origin, the distal stump was closed and the proximal one was anastomosed to the lateral aspect of the right carotid artery. There was no operative or late morbidity or death. Remains free of complications 6 months after surgery.REFERENCES
