ABSTRACT
The hepatic illnesses sometimes occur without presenting symptoms, which is the reason why they are also called the silent diseases. It was performed this bibliographic updating with the aim to know the epidemiological aspects, current processes related with the risk factors of viral Hepatitis, the clinical signs, its prevention, complications and treatment. This investigation refers to a bibliographic updating on national and international experiences, comment some definitions and the clinical – epidemiological approaches to diminish the morbimortality indicators that generate the complications produced, especially by agents of the type B and C. It was made a review of the databases in PubMed, CUMED and LILACS, since 2010 until the 2014, there were consulted other resources in Internet like the web pages of institutions and associations of the Biomedical Sciences. There were included review and original articles. In several international articles it was recognized that there are social factors that influence in the risk and vulnerability to acquire these infectious diseases, the sex, the discrimination, the stigma and the social marginalization, but there are few actions to prevent hepatitis, if we evaluate that in several cases there are asymptomatic carriers, which are not detected in the focus controls, that is why the infectious source is not interrupted and the transmission continues, especially in the type B . In the revision of the national literature we state that they still exist social factors that affect the risk to suffer the illness, unlike other countries, our National Health System provides programs and actions of risk prevention towards viral Hepatitis.REFERENCES
