ABSTRACT
Confluent and reticulated papillomatosis of Gougerot and Carteaud
is a benign, uncommon dermatosis of unknown etiology
for which there is no specific treatment. We report 5 patients
studied by our dermatology department between March
2009-February 2010. The female-male ratio was 3:2 and there
was no evidence of yeast in either the mycological or histopathological
analyses. All cases corresponded to the confluent
and reticulated variety.
