ABSTRACT
Prolapse of the fimbria through the vaginal vault after hysterectomy is a very rare complication. The international literature describes only the low incidence of prolapse of the fallopian tube, which may occur both in abdominal or vaginal hysterectomies, with more frequency in the latter. Treatment involves the surgical removal of the tube, and it can be completed by vaginal, abdominal or laparoscopic surgery. However, the final diagnosis should be obtained by histopathology. In this article, a case is reported and a review of the literature is presented.REFERENCES
