Knowledge of bioethical principles for the assistance and follow up of the healthy child

ABSTRACT

Nowadays the care to healthy children takes a main role which demands as an imperative of a bioethical supply directed towards this approach.
The objective to characterize the knowledge of bioethical principles for the care and follow up of the healthy child in medical students. It was performed a longitudinal and prospective study with a sample of 42 sixth- year medical students in the Medical Sciences Affiliate in Bayamo, Granma, during the year 2013. It was applied an intentional sample, as well as surveys, interviews an observational guidelines; within the theoretical method it was evidenced the historical- logical, induction- deduction, analysis- synthesis and abstraction-precision. 43 % of the students considered necessary the knowledge of the bioethical principles for the care of the healthy child. The teaching of bioethical principles admits special care for the student who faces sensitive and priority problems in the care of the healthy child. It is warned of the need to strengthen its contribution for the development of biomedical performance, according to the present Pediatrics field. There are established recommendations that propose a formative strategy designed to increase the bioethical reasoning and the creative thought of the graduated.
