Rotation of vestibular flap, alternative in the treatment of the oronasal fistula

ABSTRACT

Sequelae of treatment in cleft palate as oroantrales, and oronasal fistulas are the result of various factors such as: excessive tension on the primary repair site, due to the inadequate mobilization of medial flaps, and the trauma of surgical margins; by an incorrect fixing of the palatal tissue to the nasal mucosa; or as a result of the formation of bruises and necrosis of the flap. We communicate the clinical case of a patient of 54 years old with a diagnosis of right oronasal, sequel to unilateral cleft palate treatment; as well as the description of the clinical and other ancillary diagnostic. The patient is currently undergoing rehabilitation.
