Alcohol use in adolescents: beginnings, risk factors and family influences

ABSTRACT
The traditional image of the alcoholic as an old or middle-aged person, usually male, wandering
and homeless sex has been largely displaced by the youth of both sexes drinking group.
Alcoholism has gradually become a feature of adolescence This review aimed to: describe
relevant aspects of behavior regarding alcohol in adolescence worldwide, on our continent and in
Cuba. For this search the Cochrane Library (The Cochrane Library), MEDLINE, EMBASE,
PsyclNFO, EBSCO, HINARI, DissertationAbstracts identified articles and bibliographies of review
articles were performed. MEDLINE individual authors who had studied or related to alcohol
consumption in adolescents during the months of December 2012 to February 2013. Both
globally and in Cuba, revisions were made in initiating alcohol consumption happens in the
period of adolescence, I influenced by seeing family and friends incitement. There are numerous
risk and protective factors for alcohol consumption mid family influence.
