ABSTRACT
Alcoholism is a disease that affects the individual and their family, which may cause disfuncionabiliadad family, which may be perceived differently by members of the core. Therefore, it was decided to conduct an investigation in order to describe similarities and differences you encountered performing the assessment family functioning family and alcoholic patients. A cross-sectional descriptive study in a sample of 18 alcoholic patients who entered the service CENSAM addictions in 2012 in the months of January to May, and 18 families were made. Tests were applied: FF-SIL, family location; Family Self-Assessment, the Faces and an interview to assess the performance of the functions of the family. The main results were that the perception of family functioning is different in patients and families, as most patients perceive that live in families at risk of disfuncionabilidad and most consider the relatives who live in dysfunctional families. In every family there is one para-regulatory crisis health problems of one of its members with alcoholism and coping with normative crisis has been mediated disease. Relatives do a more accurate assessment and critical level of harm caused by alcoholism in the family, and negative feelings and emotions vivencian more intensely and frequently than patients.
