ABSTRACT
Introduction: A social epidemics largest and fastest expansion of our century, is the world's problem that occurs with misuse of drugs and alcohol use, among others. This phenomenon is of such importance, mainly in young people, as not only personal, family and entire communities deterioration manifested, but at the same social affectations are associated.Objective: In this study we set out to identify and assess the presence of toxic habits in a population of 60 students from a junior high school in the municipality of La Lisa.
Methodological design: To achieve our goal we conducted a survey in the form of interview, during the period from November to December 2012. The results were quantified by percentage analysis.
Results: We found a high intake of alcohol (about 75%), predominantly group of 12-14 years of age and cigarette smoking in a smaller proportion of the sample (50%).
Conclusions: These results prompted us to conduct debates, where the prevention of such attitudes, which can cause an addiction consolidated.
