Organizational climate at surveillance and anti vectorial fight departments: a municipality study.

ABSTRACT
Introduction: Organizational climate is a filter through which an organization’s objective phenomena pass. These objective phenomena, perceived by its members, generate a climate impacting on motivations and behaviors arising dissimilar consequences.Objective: To show the evaluation results of the organizational climate in Surveillance and Antivectorial fight departments, at Plaza de la Revolución municipality on 2012.
Method: Descriptive study which included 76 workers from the above mentioned departments. For the collection of data a self - administer, anonymous was applied on the organizational climate. 16 explicit criteria were explored in dimension such as organizational structure, leadership, motivation, decision -making and behaviors/values. A global climate judgment in virtue of each criterion’s results, the corresponding dimension and significations deduced from the instrument’s statements, was carried out.
Results: All dimensions were affected at municipal level. Only indicator in criteria, working content and leadership style were close to the standard. Most accepted perceptions were included in survey respondents from Puentes Grandes municipality and Plaza.
It was concluded that perceptions in relation with working environment did not a favorable organizational climate.
