ABSTRACT
Brown tumours caused by hyperparathyroidism primary or secondary, are lesions of the vascular soft intraosseus tissue that more frequently develop in long bones, ribs, clavicle, iliac crest, vertebrae, pelvis, jaws, tarsal and carpal bones. Occasionally, the lesions tend to be periferic located on the alveolar ridges of the maxilla and mandible.
In this article, we describe a patient whose first manifestation was the presence of a periferic tumoral mass located in the upper jaw, later on, complementary studies allowed us to establish a definitive diagnosis of primary hyperparathyroidism.
