ABSTRACT
Meningocele is a herniation of the membrane that covers the encephalon due to congenital or acquired defect of the skull. The congenital defect because of a neural tube defect what is attributed to various gene and environmental factors, and the acquired defect for the herniation through an orifice made by a cranial traumatism, not reduced on occasions. After the corresponding clinical and imaging examinations were performed, the case presented was referred as a tumoral syndrome and nosologically a frontal meningocele. At present, the female patient due to the small diameter of the bone defect is subjected to a conservative conduct with a half-yearly clinical follow-up by ultrasound, to observe her evolution before deciding a surgical therapy.REFERENCES
